| Description |
York Solutions is hiring a fully remote Junior Software Engineer. This role will support the Microservices initiative currently underway and will be part of the software development team and be responsible for writing code to develop Microservices.
Skills and Responsibilities:
Mandatory Skills:
Mid level proficiency Java 1.8
Familiar with Spring Boot & Micro services Architect
Familiar with Spring framework preferably on Pivotal Cloud Foundry Platform.
Familiar with ORM frameworks like JPA, Hibernate, Spring Data
Familiar with JMS messaging products like Solace, ActiveMQ etc
Familiar with cloud services such as AWS
Familiar with micro services authorization mechanisms
Experience in build scalable systems
Experience in processing large data volumes
Eagerness to learn and demonstrates strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment under deadlines in a changing environment.
Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously
Ability to work as a member of a globally distributed remote team, as well as independently
Good to have:
Familiar with CI/CD, Jenkins pipeline
API Manager knowledge
Familiar with Pivotal Cloud Foundry Platform.
Experience in working with Agile development methodologies
Required Skills: JAVA 8 or later, Spring Boot, Gradle, Spring cloud, Junit, Swagger (for API documentation), Mysql DB, GIT.
